Zoë Leibowitz, Psy.D.

Dr. Zoë Leibowitz is a licensed clinical psychologist with expertise in forensic assessment and treatment, particularly regarding competency to stand trial evaluations. Dr. Leibowitz earned a Doctor of Psychology from APA-accredited Spalding University with dual emphasis in forensic and adult clinical psychology. She completed a forensic-track APA-accredited internship at Tulane University School of Medicine. Her forensic training at Tulane focused on violence risk assessment of civilly committed patients deemed Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity or Irrestorably Incompetent to Stand Trial. She went on to complete a forensic postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Missouri School of Medicine in Kansas City. Through this training, Dr. Leibowitz refined her expertise in competency restoration and assessment within an acute psychiatric hospital setting. Dr. Leibowitz previously worked as Unit Director of the super maximum security and intensive management units at Cook County Department of Corrections via Cook County Health and Hospitals System.
